FREX is a hassle-free commuter bus service that serves Fountain, Colorado Springs, Monument, Castle Rock, the Denver Tech Center and Downtown Denver.
Operated by Mountain Metropolitan Transit, FREX is the first and only intercity commuter service connecting the Pikes Peak Region with the Denver metropolitan area. Introduced in 2004 as a Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) demonstration project, FREX has quickly become the most successful transportation project to date in the Pikes Peak Region. Now a permanent public transportation alternative, FREX continues to improve mobility options and air quality by reducing traffic congestion along the I-25 corridor each day.
Riding FREX is as easy as determining which bus to board by reading the sign above the windshield and on the curb side of the bus by the front door. Buses will stop at designated bus stops along each route. Stops are indicated with a FREX bus stop sign. All FREX buses are handicap accessible.
FREX operates Monday-Friday from 3:45am to 9:50pm. FREX does not operate on weekends or major holidays.
The following amenities are available on all FREX buses:
